| Okinawa Island is located at Lat.24N, Long.127E, in the subtropical zone. It is 1,201 square kilometers in area, 135 km long, and has a population of about 1,200,000. The highest temperature in summer is 34C and the lowest in winter is about 10C. In Okinawa, it is fine in summer except the typhoon storm. Also, the seeing condition is excellent. But in winter, we have cloudy sky almost every day, and the seeing is rather poor. |
